Hotels near Chiesa della Madonna della Neve.It was a good location for our climb but it was also a bit away from anywhere else (the only other building is tourist souvenir shop). There is good free WiFi reception in the room and with parking for free included we felt lucky enough (it can get really busy on the roads and parking gets tricky). The rooms were reasonably sized, with a good hot shower and a comfortable if narrow and short bed. But the service was very friendly and the spaghetti nice enough. Although even that was a bit hectic because dinner started at 19:00 but when we returned from a quick recce of the climb at 20:15 we only got a selection between lasagne and 2 different types of spags with a side salad. We settled for b&b for 59€ and planned for dinner a la carte. It then turned out that Italians do their numbers the same way as in English which made it 95€. The reception was very friendly although there was a bit of a mix up with the price for the night: Speaking German we were first told that it would be 59€ for a night half-board.
Showing up at 18:00 without reservation at the start of the Italian summer holiday month of August we felt just happy that we got 2 rooms for a night within walking distance from our intended climb the next day.
